Primitive Santa Doll

This Santa was lovingly hand made from off white flannel and stuffed with new poly fiberfill. His face is hand sewn/sculpted and his beard and mustache are made from alpaca yarn that has been sewn into place.

Santa’s clothes are made from super soft red cotton flannel with white cotton trim that has been hand stitched into place. Santa’s hat has also been stitched into place and sports a rusty bell at the very tip. This bell has been rusted by me using vinegar and salt. It is not commercially rusted.

Santa’s boots are painted and cotton twine serves as his laces. Cotton twine is also used at his waist as a rope belt to keep his pants up. This Santa has been antiqued all over with coffee (no dyes or harsh chemicals) so he has variations and shades of brown/tan all over him.
